” Stop Kiss ” Dec. 3-18, 2010
Written by Diana Son. A funny, poignant story of two heretofore heterosexual women who unexpectedly fall in love, provoking a violent attack that transforms their lives forever. This evocative play explores our assumptions about love and reminds us of what a profound privilege it can be when we choose, and are chosen, to care for another. Written in scenes that alternate between the present and the past, Stop Kiss pays homage to life’s abrupt and unexpected transformations, to romance, and to the search for personal identity, all the while explaining how soci-ety stereotypes people, and the pain that can come from simply being who we are.
